Spend time understanding the processes for preparing to make a successful portrait in watercolour, improving your figurative drawing skills, practising essential watercolour skills and learning to mix and manipulate colour. Develop an understanding of portrait painting, learning tricks and tips to achieve a ‘likeness’ in your painting, becoming aware of the importance of both structural and colour composition in portraiture. 
Tanya Baily paints almost exclusively in watercolour across a range of subject matter and is an experienced art educator. Tanya takes private and corporate commissions and has been a finalist in a number of national art prizes and exhibits widely in private galleries nationally and internationally.

Tanya is a fine artist educated at Oxford University, London’s Chelsea School of Art and at COFA at the University of NSW where she completed a Masters in Painting. Tanya specialises in watercolour and pen and ink commissions and currently exhibits in Sydney.
